Hey There! My name is Shelby Young and I’m a Personal Trainer, MMA Fighter, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, Strength & Conditioning Coach, Nutrition Counselor, and now a Blogger as well. Welcome.

As you’ve probably guessed from the title of this blog my goal here is to educate my readers about the benefits of eating a paleolithic/primal diet and exercising in an efficient and effective way to achieve the best results possible. I’ve logged thousands of hours training and counseling my clients ranging from 5-95 years old and from cardiac rehab patients to professional athletes.

Whether you’re new to the concepts of the paleo/primal lifestyle or the applications of plyometrics, gymnastics, yoga, intermittent fasting, CrossFit/CrossFit Football/Max Effort Black Box, powerlifting, Olympic Weightlifting, or various martial arts or you’re already experienced with all of this then hopefully you’ll find some useful bits of information to use and pass on to others.

I’m attempting to synthesize a large amount of information in to an entertaining and educational form that is easy to understand and put in to practice, but I’m also looking to learn in the process so feel free to comment on any post and start up an interesting discussion! Just please always be respectful; I’m all for sarcasm and humor but direct insults, excessive swearing, and spam will not be tolerated.
